Re: June 7 - (SUMMER Race Series Round 1)
Big Thanks to Jesse & Jay for their guideance yesterday, these 2 guys are true ambassadors of the sport. And it was great to finally meet up with Brian, with the few minutes of time we had to talk, you can see that he has a wealth of knowledge and resorces for the Impreza Brand and is willing to pass them on, not to mention he has one hell of an STI. I encourage all other SCG members as well as non members to participate, help out or even just show up (You should see Jesse Drive his WRX). It is a great way to improve what skills you have. The guys told me' "dont think of it as a race, think of it as one way to find your cars ability as well as your ability to control it and improve from there". It was for sure an eye opener. Both Jason and I competed for the first time, it was a bit nerve racking, but in the end we had smiles from ear to ear. I for one will make an effort to be at the next meet, if not to participate, then to hang and help out. Thanks again Guys.
Re: June 7 - (SUMMER Race Series Round 1)
Hey! I'm just glad that I didn't embarrass SCG by taking second fiddle to the awesome driving of Vlad, haha! talented driver indeed and he was having fun the whole time...that's what it's all about really just trying to stay consistent is all I'm trying to do. Ray (the professor) almost took me to school and gave me an NC for class as well but I was fortunate enough to get an 'A' for my effort he's a force to be reckoned with, learn from him!
Ed & Jason were 'ON' yesterday! I mean, for first timers out there I know they did really well with course navigation and taking a boat-load of information in stride I remember how nervous I was on my 1st event and I'm sure they were on sensory overload! Great job navigating the course and making every move count guys! It was tres-blue-subies yesterday!!! Neat! it was nice to see that they were both committed to getting the runs done and looked like seasoned guys out there; could have fooled me! Times not withstanding their technique looked good and with some practice I'm certain skill will grow and add to our formidable SCG autocross crew! Keep up the great work guys
Thanks for the compliments but honestly if it weren't for the hospitality and leadership of Jay in the beginning (introduced me to the sport) I would not have been as far along as I am now and I only hope to pass on that experience to newcomers to the sport so as to foster a new generation of members who have some guidance especially at the ever important beginnings of our local autocross. Come by and enjoy yourself whether driving or spectating; witness the leadership of our members and help move us forward I look forward to seeing you all again at our next event.

Re: June 7 - (SUMMER Race Series Round 1)
It just makes it all worth while when I see people are trying and having fun. There were some glitches and seem frustrating at times but overall I had a great time.
It was nice to see that I was also able to invite some Mitsu Club members to come out and play. There were 3 Mustangs and all this years this is the most I have seen American made cars participate. We had 3 Subies. We had Eric Manalo who is knee deeep into drifting come out. It was a nice day! I was so happy I had a hard time going to sleep and was inspired I got to finish my sway bar install and half of my exhaust install done.
I hope you will not be discouraged by the delays and things we are trying to improve on. we had. We will get better in time.
Again thanks to the guys that support and particiapte in the GRSCCA remember we need volunteers/members racing or not.
